A wide range of payments are coming out for the rest of the year that those of State Pension age could benefit from
There are roughly 12.6 million people across the country receiving State Pension payments of up to £203.85 per week.
September 18: Winter Fuel Payment 2023/24 September 18 will mark the start of new claims for those over State Pension age to claim payments that will provide an extra £150 or £200 for normal energy payments from November. This is because Pension Credit is a retrospective benefit that can be backdated by up to three months. However, it does mean that a successful new claimant will receive the cost of living money after the payment window closes, but they will get it - find out more here.
However, if you don't claim a benefit and didn't receive the Winter Fuel Payment in 2022 then you will need to send in an application. The amount you receive from the Winter Fuel Payment will depend on your circumstances during the qualifying week - this is between September 18 and September 24, 2023.
