The founder of the Almost Famous burger chain has announced the closure of all its sites. Owner Beau Myers issued a statement today citing the current economic climate as 'too challenging' for the business to overcome. Almost Famous launched in Manchester in 2012 before expanding to Liverpool's Parr Street shortly after. The restaurant became known for its array of burgers stacked with toppins, along with wings and a variety of loaded fries.

The statement added: 'To everyone who’s been part of our story - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The memories we’ve made together will stay with us forever.
