The ride, opening this spring, will be the highest of its kind
Alton Towers fans have made the same remark after getting a glimpse of the new ride opening this spring. Named Toxicator, the new top spin ride is the highest of its kind, standing at 78ft tall.
On Ripsaw, riders sat in a 20 seat wide, two tier gondola rotated by a pair of robotic arms and allowed to freely pivot. Riders were also suspended above jets of water at one point and were lowered towards it. But bosses at the Staffordshire theme park have been quick to defend Toxicator, explaining that it's a completely different ride.
The spokesperson said that Ripsaw and Toxicator are both manufactured by Huss, but the Toxicator experience 'introduces new features that set it apart'.
