She shared that both she and Alan "loved every second" of their appearance on what she described as a "joyous and successful evening." She then added: "All the big shows get battered… Merry Christmas you lovely lot. Our ratings were brilliant so that’s what counts xx" The defence follows backlash over the pre-recorded event, which took place last month and aired on Sunday.
