Scottish Labour has been boosted by a poll suggesting the party could return to power at Holyrood for the first time in 20 years.
Anas Sarwar has made a renewed pledge to fix the NHS in Scotland as he tries to capitalise on his party's seismic by-election win in Rutherglen last week.
It comes as a new poll suggests Scottish Labour could win a single seat more than the SNP at the next Holyrood election in 2026 - enough to return the party to power for the first time in almost 20 years. But he will also pledge to put reform of the NHS at the heart of Labour's bid to win back power at Holyrood.
"All of these things, I think, can transform our National Health Service and make it fit for the next generation." It comes as Keir Starmer insisted doctors would sign up to his plan for extra weekend appointments to bring down NHS waiting lists in England despite being able to earn more doing private work.
