The Australian was quizzed on a demonstration planned by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust this weekend
Ange Postecoglou reckons Tottenham fans have the right to protest, and that it's something he found out very quickly at Celtic.
It's a familiar atmosphere Postecoglou felt in the infancy of his Celtic run, when fans of the Parkhead club were unhappy following a failed bid to reach ten-in-a-row the season prior. The Aussie reckons there was 'a lot going on off the pitch' in his first few days in Glasgow and that his job is to do, as he did with the Hoops, and convince fans of the product on the pitch rather than outside factors.
“There is no doubt that we will get there quick if we’re united on and off the field absolutely, but I have never and never will tell people how they should feel, how they should behave or the context of how to express their emotions. I think that is their right and they have earned their right to do that. My role within that is to try produce a team that gets us united to what’s most important.
