The CEO of local motorcycle taxi operator Angkas has lauded the achievement of a rider who was able to obtain a college degree through his work with Angkas.
MAKATI CITY —
Angkas executive George Royeca recently reacted to stories circulating in social media on the hard work and perseverance shown by one of the riders, Kleiy Escalona, who was able to graduate with a degree in BS Criminology.“The story of Kleiy Escalona fills me with pride. His success serves as validation of the Angkas business model that is rooted in alternative jobs creation and nanopreneurship to alleviate poverty,” Royeca said.
He further said that since the beginning, the intention of Angkas was for each and every rider to realize that the opportunities provided to them were more than just a source of day-to-day income but also stepping stones to build a better future.
