He installed a camera in his apartment on April 25 and, at 4:52 p.m. that day, received an alert.
At 6:45 p.m. April 25, officers were dispatched to a duplex on a report of a disturbance involving the home’s upstairs and downstairs residents. The neighbor then opened the downstairs woman’s door and stepped inside the doorway to “get in her face” and to continue the argument. The woman called police on her intruding neighbor.
The officer activated his overhead lights, stopped the boy with the gun, and took it from him. The boy was booked on a disorderly conduct charge and his mother called to get him.At 1:25 a.m. April 28, an officer on patrol saw two boys walking on South Taylor Road. The officer commanded the two to stop, but they ignored the command. A second command sent one of the boys running as the other walked faster and then ran.
