Investigations into a road crash that killed a 79-year-old pedestrian are ongoing.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a pensioner was fatally hit by a car in Uddingston.

The driver of a white Audi was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and released pending further enquiries.Road Policing Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died.
