Armed police have swarmed a Scots bus station after a passenger allegedly tried to take a sword on board this evening.
Officers received a report of a man with a weapon at Halbeath Park and Ride in Dunfermline, Fife, at around 7.40pm on Sunday night.Several officers with guns were pictured beside a Citylink bus. A shocking picture appeared to show a sword sitting on top of a suitcase with two armed officers standing beside it.At around 7.45pm an eyewitness said on Twitter: "Drama at the Halbeath Park and Ride.It's understood the bus, which was bound for Edinburgh, was evacuated.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 7.40pm this evening we received a report of a male in possession of a weapon at Halbeath in Fife.
