Lizzy Dolan, who died aged 31 in January last year, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at four months old.
A woman who fought a lifelong battle against cystic fibrosis had her ashes flown 5000 miles from California for a burial ceremony on her beloved Isle of Skye.
Her dad, Matt, said: “Lizzy had told me that if anything happened she wanted her ashes taken to Skye. She managed to enjoy a near-normal childhood despite regular hospital stays and intravenous antibiotics to control her condition. The family travelled from Mountain View in San Francisco Bay for the ceremony. Matt, wife Anne, son Bucky and daughter Susan led a party of 26 mourners, mostly Americans, who paid their respects to Lizzy.
