High-grade magmatic sulphides confirmed in potentially overlooked Gobi-Altai metals belt
Asian Battery Metals shares more than doubled on this morning after the explorer confirmed one of the final holes completed during the testing of its 800m-long Oval target had intersected high-grade massive sulphides in southwestern Mongolia.
Oval was discovered in proof-of-concept drilling last year, targeting an area previously considered not prospective for magmatic copper-nickel-PGE deposits, but where Zunduisuren believed there were geological similarities with the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.As soon as the DHEM surveys are complete, the rig will spin up to target the higher-grade sulphides within the broader matrix-disseminated system.ABM previously set an initial exploration target of 1.3-6.5Mt grading 0.2-1.2% copper, 0.2-0.
