Olympics: The Paris 2024 opening ceremony was a sight to behold with the weather not stopping the show from going on.
With the Opening Ceremony done and dusted, the Paris Olympics officially gets underway on Saturday evening — and there’s plenty of Australians in action in the French capital.before the mouth-watering clash between Australian champion Ariarne Titmus and American rival Katie Ledecky in the women’s 400m freestyle.
The Australian men’s rugby sevens team will face reigning champions Fiji in the semi-final at midnight before the gold medal match at 3.45am. The Boomers face Spain at 7pm, while the Kookaburras take on Argentina a couple of hours later at 9.15pm. Australians will be hunting for medals in skateboarding, diving and cycling events, while Opening Ceremony flag-bearer Jess Fox will headline the canoe slalom heats.
