After serving twenty years for the murder of her children, Kathleen Folbigg has been pardoned.
The NSW attorney-general said this morning reasonable doubt existed in all of Kathleen Folbigg’s convictions, and she will be released from prison without delay.after being convicted of the murders of three of her children, Patrick, Sarah, and Laura, and the manslaughter of her first child, Caleb.
I have reached the view there is reasonable doubt as to the guilt of Kathleen Folbigg for each of those offences The 55-year-old was convicted in 2003 of the murder of three of her children, Patrick, Sarah, and Laura, and the manslaughter of her first child, Caleb.Each child died suddenly between 1989 and 1999, aged between 19 days and 19 months.
“Given all that has happened over the last 20 years, it is impossible to not feel sympathy for Kathleen and Craig Folbigg. I am glad that our legal system in NSW contains provisions that allow for the continual pursuit of truth and justice,” Daley said today.NSW Attorney-General of NSW Michael Daley will hold a doorstop in Sydney regarding the Special Commission of Inquiry into the conviction of Kathleen Folbigg.
