Bacup Pride's free, family, fun adventure is on until mid-September
Two brothers from Bacup went on a hunt to check out Bacup's Flowerpot Trail and were pleased to find more than 30 different animals, birds and fish.
Jack Symcox, 10, and his brother Charlie, nine, from Bacup, went on an adventure to discover just what had been created. They loved exploring the town centre and animal-mad Charlie loved the huge Nellie the Elephant at Bacup Pride’s stall and was delighted to find that the cow was still in residence outside R&M Cross Butchers and she had been joined by a farmer. He said: “My favourite was the giraffe at the Potty Zoo on Rochdale Road.
He said: “The fact that so many shops had taken the time to make flowerpot sculptures, meant it was like doing a trail that everyone had got involved with and created something for us to find.” “It is great for us to be able to encourage families to seek out the different creations and there have been several new additions that didn’t make the leaflet but are featured on our Facebook page Bacup Flowerpot Festival.”
