A baker was stabbed in the face after showing off his biceps to a pair of women on Oxford Street, a court heard.
Jurors at Southwark Crown Court heard that Mr Filip ‘was drunk and making a nuisance of himself’ when he approached the Italian women and lifted up his shirt before ‘showing off his biceps’. Mr Filip’s attacker could be seen repeatedly striking at him, inflicting four 2cm stab wounds to his back and his chest, a 6cm injury to his right cheek and a 3cm cut to his chin.He was pulled back inside the shop by three heroic guardsmen from the nearby Wellington barracks and given first aid before the emergency services arrived around 10 minutes later.
‘Given the number of stab wounds, he clearly intended to do Mr Filip really serious harm on Oxford Street in the early hours of the morning,’ Ms Foulkes added.
