Starting off as a more simple adaptation of Divinity: Original Sin 2, Larian felt an urge to go further and recreate its signature style of video game freedom back into the tabletop format.

We ended up using families because they were all in their own bubbles, but that was the thing that really slowed us down.

We were making a game designed for people to sit in a room together, and they can’t sit together.” In the end, Larian finally brought Divinity: Original Sin – The Board Game to market, and launched one of the most feature rich tabletop games around. After years of development and countless hours of testing, Larian’s publishing coordinator Keiron Kelly is deservedly proud of the project.
