Hayley MacFarlane, 39, of Carrington Street, Barnsley, is due in court for sentencing for infanticide
A Barnsley woman is due to be sentenced this morning for causing the death of her baby girl in a Leeds park.previously said officers arrived at the scene at the junction of Clarendon Road and Moorland Road by Woodhouse Moor Park in Leeds that day after MacFarlane had called emergency services and reported Evelyn was in a serious condition.
The judge says the psychosis took the form that she believed she was harming her baby and preventing her from reaching her developmental milestones.Dr Shenoy is talking about the 'shock of the incident itself' and its effect on Mrs M. The judge is asking about 'retained responsibility' and says she she bears in mind what family and friends have described Mrs M as a "very caring and gentle person."The prognosis at the moment with Mrs M is that she is responding to tteatment and things are 'good', according to Dr Shenoy.
