BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty was forced to halt this morning's episode to issue viewers with a rather unusual warning.
Before delving into the report, Naga was quick to issue a warning to BBC viewers and it was a very different type of warning compared to the ones viewers are used to, such as breaking news or apologies. This time around, the warning was regarding 'Whamageddon', a game that sees people try and avoid hearing the Wham! song Last Christmas between December 1 to December 24.
As she was about to explain the reason for the disclaimer, Ben jumped in, telling viewers: "You try to get as close to Christmas without hearing Wham's Last Christmas." Naga then warned: "You're gonna hear it now with our music correspondent Mark Savage." Wham! singer Andrew Ridgeley lauded the achievement, praising his bandmate George Michael. "I'm especially pleased for George, he would have been utterly delighted that his fabulous Christmas composition has become such a classic, as much a part of Christmas as mince pies or Christmas cake," he said.
