Earlier in the week, Matt announced on X his stint as the temporary weather presenter. He wrote: "Good morning all! I'll be looking after most of your @BBCBreakfast weather forecasts for the next 3 weeks. It's a humid start to the week too, with rain for some. Thunderstorms possible for a few in the Met Office YELLOW warning area."
