Jon Kay was reporting from Washington, where he is covering the US election for BBC Breakfast
Sally Nugent voiced her concern for colleague Jon Kay during Monday's edition of BBC Breakfast, as he reported live from Washington. With the UK being five hours ahead, it meant that Jon was yet to catch some shut-eye while delivering the latest election news.
"Pace yourself, Jon, we will see soon," he reiterated as he said goodbye to his co-star, reports the Express. Nevertheless, some viewers were less than pleased, questioning the necessity of spending TV Licence funds on sending Jon to the States.Echoing the sentiment, another wrote: "Licence fee money spent on foreign jollies for breakfast presenters."
