Seven party representatives will be vying to make their voices heard during the BBC debate
The seven-way debate will see senior party members clash over tax, immigration and D-Day fallout Senior figures from the seven main political parties will take part in a live TV debate on BBC1 tonight. It will be the second major TV set-piece of the election campaign – and the first to include the smaller parties.
Before the row over D-Day, the biggest issue of the week is where both main parties stand on tax, so expect the politicians to be put on the spot over their plans for the public and our own finances. Farage’s surprise entry into the election fray this week, replacing Richard Tice as Reform’s leader and standing in Clacton, has caused alarm in Conservative HQ and triggered an upsurge in the polls for his party.
