For the first time, radio and TV personality Amy Irons will host Hogmanay 2024 on BBC One Scotland. A pre-recorded event will take place on December 8.
Broadcaster Amy Irons will lead BBC Scotland’s Hogmanay celebrations this year, as the station looks to update its New Year’s Eve coverage.
The public are being invited to "put on your Hogmanay glad rags and help us to celebrate an early New Year in Studio A in BBC Scotland Pacific Quay, Glasgow." Skipinnish will lead a rendition of Auld Lang Syne, accompanied by Scottish jazz vocalist Georgia Cécile. Des, who will be joined by special guests to look back on the year, said: “It’s such a joy to be part of Hogmanay on BBC Scotland.
