Beautiful cove walk with magical Harry Potter limestone pavement that's an hour from Lancashire
We were all hoping for sunnier and warmer weather but unfortunately, it's time to wrap up warm because it's about to turn colder again.
But, despite the weather turning colder, it can sometimes make the perfect day for a scenic walk. There are some fantastic places to explore across Lancashire but if you're wanting to head a little further afield, one place has proved a hit with walkers. One beauty spot has proved so good that it has scored five stars on TripAdvisor and what is even better is it's only an hour from Lancs. Malham Cove is a 70ft high limestone formation with breathtaking views and a stunning waterfall.If you've enough time to get to the top you will be rewarded with a majestic limestone table.
The natural limestone formation features in a tense scene where Harry and Hermione hide from Voldemort. The site is praised by visitors for its ‘breathtaking views’ and peaceful surroundings. One TripAdvisor user who visited last November said: “This is a good walk so make sure you wear the right footwear. It's across fields and when you arrive at the cove it really is something spectacular.”
Another visitor, from Southport, added: “One of the most dramatic cliffs in Britain set in beautiful surroundings, the light grey limestone beautifully set off against the surrounding greenery.”READ NEXT:
