The popular bakery, known for its decadent brownies and blondies, has been selling its treats at markets and shops across Nottinghamshire and the UK since 2016. Now, founders Vic and Paula Roberts, a Beeston couple, are opening a permanent store on Wollaton Road in Beeston.
Their Strelley-based bakery produces an impressive 5,000 brownies and blondies a week, offering a regular selection of 18 flavours, along with seasonal specials. To mark this exciting occasion, we put Beeston Brownies' delicious range to the test. Our newsroom team, hungry for a challenge (and perhaps a little sugar indulgence), sampled several of their most popular flavours. Lynette Pinchess, Joel Moore, Rucsandra Moldoveanu, Phil Campbell, and Joshua Hartley shared their verdicts on these bite-sized treats. The classic chocolate brownie, rich and fudgy, was a clear favourite for Joel, who praised its chocolatey goodness and perfect moisture. Meanwhile, Rucsandra and Phil were both impressed by the lemon meringue blondie, highlighting its fresh lemon flavour and satisfyingly crunchy meringue. Josh couldn't get enough of the Jammie Dodger blondies, reminiscing about his childhood favourite and appreciating the generous portion of jam. For Lynette, the salted caramel blondie was a close contender, but the Jammie Dodger ultimately won her over. While our team couldn't agree on a single champion, one thing is certain: Beeston Brownies offers a delightful range of brownies and blondies that will satisfy any sweet tooth
