The Empire Music Hall in Belfast is gearing up for its annual 'Rock for Alzheimers' event on February 15th, aiming to raise a record-breaking £80,000 for Alzheimer's Society Northern Ireland. The 12th year of this successful fundraising initiative has already raised over £70,000, showcasing the power of music and community support in the fight against dementia.
A Belfast music venue is hoping to raise record-breaking funds as part of an annual fundraiser for a local charity.
What followed was a series of sell-out concerts every February in the iconic Belfast Empire and in 2017, Rock for Alzheimer's won Event of the Year at the Dementia Friendly Awards. "The Arms of Venus are the best rock and indie covers outfit in the country. They’ve been at it for longer than they’d like to mention and regularly play to packed out houses with an energy that leaves audiences crying out for more.
"Together, we can tackle the stigma, raise awareness, and create a brighter future for everyone affected by this devastating condition.”
