Crippling costs no business should have to face
A much loved coffee shop in West Lancashire has closed the doors of the business due to skyrocketing costs.
Skyrocketing energy bills had also been a factor, and the ‘numbers would not work,’ he said - but staff had got new jobs as he forewarned them well in advance.
Announcing the impending closure the day before in a post on social media, a spokesperson for Milano Coffee Shop said there had been ‘12 years of memories,’ ‘shared stories, shared birthdays, shared losses, shared births and most of all shared laughs,’ and praised the coffee shop’s customers as ‘amazing.’ In the emotional post, the coffee shop paid tribute to customers saying: “My customers, my family have been amazing, work has never been work when you walk in.
Urging customers to pay it forward, the post added: “If I can hope that you carry anything at all on from what we do, it is that you please just say hello, smile or just ask if everything is OK to somebody that you feel needs it, a smile to somebody you walk past, because that can save them. At my hardest times, when business was the hardest it was your smiles that filled my bank, and I finish tomorrow, with a bank full of smiles, worth more to me than a bank full of cash.
