He started his acting career in 1978 with his first film role in Rush It alongside Tom Berenger, Jill Eikenberry and John Heard. The actor was also prominently featured on two major commercials in the 1980s, one for Polly-O String Cheese and the other for Dimetapp cold medecine. He would also have roles in the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day, plus 1998's Enemy of the State and Ringmaster, plus guest spots on Ellen and many other shows.
