Prime Minister Anthony Albanese took a dig at the Coalition during Question Time when he claimed Mary Doyle was already the best member for Aston in over 30 years, with the Liberal party holding the Melbourne seat since 1990.
Ms Doyle has been sworn in as the Member for Aston after winning the by-election earlier this year following former Liberal MP Alan Tudge’s retirement.
“You are someone who has created history; that can’t be taken away from you. But I look forward to the future history that you are going to create over many years as the member for Aston,” Mr Albanese said.
