Chocolate lovers eager to try the viral Fix Dessert Chocolatier bars are being warned of a surge in scams. The Dubai-based chocolatier's unique stuffed chocolates have taken social media by storm, but their exclusivity available only through Deliveroo in Dubai has made them prime targets for cybercriminals. Kaspersky has uncovered a number of scams, including fake websites mimicking Deliveroo and fraudulent e-commerce stores, preying on consumer enthusiasm for the popular treats.

Chocolate lovers hoping to get their hands on the viral Fix Dessert Chocolatier bars are being warned to be vigilant against scammers. These decadent stuffed chocolate treats, created by a Dubai-based chocolatier named Fix, have taken social media by storm with taste tests and unboxings racking up thousands of views.

Dubbed the 'millennial Willy Wonka' by news outlets worldwide, Fix offers unique flavors like Can't Get Knafeh Of It, featuring traditional Arab spun-pastry dough soaked in sweet syrup, You Karak Me Up, infused with traditional Karak tea, and their most popular option, studded with rich pistachio paste. Deliveroo has even named their chocolate the top trending dish sold globally in 2024. However, it's crucial to note that these chocolates are exclusively available in Dubai through Deliveroo. Fix emphasizes that they don't have a website, a physical store, sell on social media, or any official resellers. The company has issued warnings against scammers, stating that 'Self-proclaimed distributors' are selling counterfeit bars at inflated prices, exploiting the brand's popularity. Fix assures customers that they are working diligently to expand their reach to other cities while guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of their products. They promise to announce any new selling points through their official platforms.Unfortunately, Fix's success has attracted the attention of cybercriminals capitalizing on the chocolate craze. Kaspersky, a cybersecurity firm, uncovered numerous scams related to Fix. These scams include fake websites impersonating Deliveroo, tricking customers into placing orders for nonexistent chocolate bars. Other criminals create fraudulent e-commerce stores posing as independent vendors selling Fix chocolate, only to disappear after receiving payments. Olga Svistunova, a security expert at Kaspersky, highlights the scammers' ability to exploit trends. She emphasizes the importance of user vigilance, urging them to scrutinize online stores, verify authenticity, and be wary of deals that seem too good to be true. She cautions against sharing personal information unless on secure, verified platforms and recommends using comprehensive cybersecurity software to protect against phishing sites and malware infections
