Operations at Birmingham Airport have been 'temporarily suspended' this evening . It comes after a suspicious device was allegedly found on board a plane.
An Aer Lingus Regional flight between Birmingham and Belfast reportedly rerouted back to the city after the discovery. It has meant there are no current flights coming in or heading out of the city. . The first flights to be hit by the delay were due to depart at 16:10. That Loganair flight is now scheduled for departure at 6pm.A Birmingham Airport spokeswoman told BirminghamLive the site has "temporarily suspended operations." The spokeswoman added that the airport is not closed and passengers should still arrive at the terminal ahead of their flights.
