Ryanair say the flights will build on 'existing UK connectivity'
Ryanair has launched its new route between Derry and Birmingham for the summer season, with the first flight arriving at City of Derry Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking to press at the airport, the Ryanair official said: "I'm very excited to be here in the Derry airport where we're officially launching our summer '24 schedule, with the take-off of our very first flight from Birmingham for our summer season. She continued: "I suppose we've seen the demand Manchester perform very, very well. I think we we've had it operating since 2021. And so it's proven itself to be a valuable route. Birmingham, I know, has been a kind of a long requested route by the community here and it is one that we do see great viability in."
