This is one of the only spells in the game that has a very strong critical strike synergy, as you get around 2.5% crit chance per second, stacking up to ten times. The spell typically lasts around 8-10 seconds, depending on upgrades, so you can use your stealth to get a nice chunky hit most of the time.

Mana is very important for key spell builds, getting a free spell against a boss, or gear sets dedicated to lowering spell cooldowns. Most of your spells typically cost either 30 mana for the top spell, 50 mana for the immobilizing spell, and 120 for a Pluck of Many. Reducing your mana costs is key for spell builds.
Crit builds need to invest in this talent as crit chance is hard to come by in-game. Image via VideoGamer.Wrathful Escalation is the only good skill tree option for crit chance builds outside of Cloudy Step. You will need to upgrade this with crit builds, as you don’t get crit from medicines. The only other early source of crit is via a weapon upgrade on the left tree.
