The 88-year-old man has died in hospital today police have confirmed.
Lancashire Constabulary said they were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Chester Street. The incident happened at around 9.20am yesterday .A spokesperson said: "An 88-year-old man has very sadly died after a road traffic collision in Chester Street, Blackburn, yesterday. A car was in collision with a pedestrian, and sadly the pedestrian died in hospital today.
Yesterday an appeal was launched for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
