Valhalla will be back online next month

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has revived one of its most popular rides of all time. Valhalla will be back in action as of next month, following a huge £4 million refit.

On the Norse legend themed ride, thrill seekers are watched over by a Viking named Ivàr, and experience elements including fire, ice and water in their journey to Valhalla and the afterlife. Riders are exposed to both gallons of water and temperatures ranging from -20c to 40c during the ride’s six minute duration.Since its refurbishment, it’s said that new ‘surprises’ have been added to the popular ride, which will open properly in April.

“The team has been hard at work behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to have the famous Valhalla waterfall back on in the park once more. Guests will be able to experience the ride through technical rehearsals this April. Adam Slevin, Director of Creative, Design & Experience at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, who has headed up the Valhalla project, said: “The reopening of the UK’s most beloved water ride has been a tricky secret to keep, so it’s fantastic to be able to confirm we will be bringing back Valhalla for the 2023 season.
