Blackpool Pleasure Beach welcomes Valhalla return for 2023 season
The creaking doors to Valhalla will finally open up to thrill seekers this year as the highly anticipated ride makes a comeback.
The indoor water and fire ride, which is almost entirely in darkness, has been shut since autumn 2019 to undergo refurbishment. Now, following a £4million investment, the UK’s wettest ride is set to reopen for technical rehearsals this April with some exciting new features.Pleasure Beach has confirmed the ride is back for the 2023 season at today’s annual season launch.
Due to the pandemic and a sting of technical and logistical delays the initial plan to reopen it in 2021 soon came and went. However the theme park's CEO Amanda Thompson has confirmed it is edging closer to welcoming riders once again. “The team has been hard at work behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to have the famous Valhalla waterfall back on in the park once more. Guests will be able to experience the ride through technical rehearsals this April.
