The rollercoaster stopped mid-ride
People riding The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach had to walk down the rollercoaster after it came to a sudden stop.
The ride stopped just before 3pm today and photos show those on the rollercoaster having to walk down a huge flight of stairs to disembark the ride safely. It is the second time this month that the ride has halted while in progress, reports the M.E.N. On April 11, staff members had to ask passengers to walk all the way back down to the ground after it stopped on the lift hill during bad weather. The ride was then closed for the remainder of the day.A spokesperson for Blackpool Pleasure Beach told the M.E.N that the Big One remained shut just before 4pm today, but was unable to provide any details on how long it may be closed for.
