If you're a fan of horror movies, sports, and a good burger, London 's latest opening is calling your name. BLOODsports, a new 'watching bar' in Covent Garden , combines all these elements and more. This 120-seater establishment, inspired by American dive bars, boasts over 30 screens showcasing live sports from around the globe during the day and a selection of iconic horror films in the evening. But the entertainment doesn't stop there.
Customers can also enjoy karaoke sessions, arcade games, and a unique 'psychobooth' complete with a shower curtain for capturing memorable photos with friends. The menu features classic MEATliquor burgers like the Dead Hippie, alongside enticing new creations such as 'The Ripper,' a bacon-wrapped, deep-fried hotdog. To complement these culinary delights, BLOODsports offers a 'bloods and drips' menu with a range of tomato-based drinks, perfect for combating any post-horror movie hangover. From Bloodless Mary Martinis to Micheladas, these beverages can be enjoyed with a side of bacon. The bar also boasts a comprehensive drinks menu featuring classic cocktails, boozy slushies, highballs, boilermakers, and beers. What's more, BLOODsports holds a late-night license, allowing customers to indulge in food and drinks until its 2 am closing time, seven days a week. Adding another dimension to the experience, Hideout Coffee will be serving up caffeine and donuts from 8 am to 8 pm daily. This marks the first time Hideout Coffee's offerings will be available outside its Wes Anderson-inspired location in Portsmouth. Founder Scott Collins expressed his excitement about the opening, stating, 'BLOODsports has been on the cards for over 10-years, it’s just been a case of waiting for the right site.' He further elaborated, 'It’s inspired by the best of the dive and sports bars I frequented when I lived in the US – with a carefully curated dash of horror films and our rock solid MEATliquor food menu with some BS specific dishes. In short, it’s a one stop fun shop...'
