Border force strikes could see passengers held on planes, overcrowding at arrivals and no food ⚠️ London airports are likely to be hit hardest by the industrial action

While the scenario remains “unlikely”, airports are building operational plans in case of this worst case scenario that airports would close. Military personnel are being trained and drafted in, along with civil servants and volunteers.

Gatwick will see the next biggest impact of the strikes, followed by Manchester. easyJet will be the airline most impacted during the strike period, Cirium found.understands that Glasgow Airport will only have between about 1,000 – 4,000 passengers at different days over the strike, and only 10 flights a day over some of the affected dates.

It is also not clear whether any flights will be cancelled, as travel experts have previously signalled this could be a possibility.
