Spanish Fort police are investigating why a 48-year-old border patrol agent shot and killed his ex-wife and then himself Sunday during a horrific case of domestic violence.
“He came over and there was a confrontation that occurred at the house,” Barber said. “She tried to lock herself in the bedroom. She exited the house where she tried to get away.” The couple, Barber said, had been divorced since January. Kerri Settle was a career educator and former assistant principal within the Mobile County Public School System.
