It is the UK's largest operational deployment in Europe and forms part of Nato's Enhanced Forward Presence in the region to ensure the collective defence principle can be upheld on the Alliance's eastern border.comes just a day after his withdrawal deal sailed through the Commons, meaning the UK will almost certainly leave the European Union by January 31.
Mr Johnson has said there will be "no alignment" on EU rules, but instead "control of our own laws, and close and friendly relations".
