Boy arrested after a resident 'is raped in their room at care a home in Blackpool'
A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of raping a resident in their room at an old person's home.
The 16-year-old intruder is understood to have climbed through a ground floor window dressed all in black before launching into the alleged attack.Credit: Google Earth He then fled through the same window after being disturbed by a member of staff at New Thursby Nursing Home in Lytham St Annes.Police have not released the age or gender of the alleged victim.
Detective Inspector Jamie Lillystone, of Blackpool Police, said: "First and foremost our thoughts remain with the victim and their family, who are being cared for by professionals and being supported by specialist officers.
