Four fire engines were scrambled to the fire at Tannochside Industrial Estate in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, at 9.10pm on Monday, June 5.

Medics also attended and a child was found injured at the scene.

He was raced to hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Online reports suggest the boy suffered burns as a result of the blaze, however this has not yet been confirmed.View gallery Police say inquiries to establish the full circumstances remain ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10pm on Monday, June 5, police were called to an industrial unit in Bedlay View, Tannochside Industrial Estate, Uddingston following reports of an explosion. SFRS and Police attended and the fire was quickly extinguished.
