He hasn't been in a classroom for two months
A schoolboy has not set foot inside a classroom for two months after being put in isolation because of days he missed off school.
It’s the second time Thomas has been pulled from lessons at St Mary’s College in Hull. In July last year he was put into isolation because his haircut was deemed ‘extreme’ and ‘too short.’Mum Paula claims Thomas’ recent absences were authorised and said separating her son had left him ‘miserable’ and ‘like a lost child’.
‘The school have told me he is not excluded in any way and that he is allowed back anytime but only in pastoral,’ she said.‘I keep saying he can’t do any more time in pastoral but their excuse is he’s not in enough for them to deal with it.Thomas has begged his mum not to leave him before starting school in isolation
He was a ‘happy-go lucky ‘ kid who was always excited to go to school before being separated from his friends, she said.
