BP has announced plans to cut 4,700 jobs from its global workforce and 3,000 contractor roles as part of a cost-saving initiative. The energy giant aims to reduce costs by at least $2 billion by 2026. While the company did not disclose the number of job cuts per country, the reductions represent just over 5% of BP's 90,000-strong workforce.
