The victim, whose identity has been protected, was in a relationship with the now 25-year-old at various stages from 2016 to 2021.

A brave woman who was physically and sexually abused by convicted rapist Bradley Isherwood has spoken out after he was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.

The 23-year-old victim gave evidence during the trial against her attacker after collecting vital evidence during their relationship. She recalled moments during the trial where Isherwood strangled her, dragged her across the floor, held a knife to her cat's throat and sexually assaulted her. The relationship ended briefly when she discovered he was contacting an ex-partner, but became friends with one of his sisters and would often visit their home in the summer of 2016 after she had turned 16. Later that year, the pair resumed their relationship and he soon asked her to move into his new flat in Leith with him.

"The first incident I remember was when we were having a disagreement while he was playing his console. He ended up punching a wall beside him then threw something at me. I don't even remember what it was but it got me on the inside of my ear and it started bleeding." "At various stages of the relationship, if I didn't tidy up then I wasn't allowed to shower. I couldn't do the things I wanted to do if I didn't run around after him," she continued.

"At one point he hurt me and I said to him stop but he just ignored me. I said I don't want him to do this but he did not stop and just kept continuing. I told him multiple times to get off me and tried to take his head away from me.
