Padres catcher Brett Sullivan hits seventh home run for Triple-A El Paso; Eguy Rosario collects four hits in loss
Brett Sullivan keeps slugging. The 30-year-old catcher padded his system-best slugging percentage in Triple-A El Paso’s 12-7 loss to visiting Las Vegas on Thursday with two more hits, including an inside-the-park home run for his seventh blast this season. The home run tied the game in the fifth before Las Vegas scored five runs over the final two innings. Sullivan also doubled in lifting his batting line to .282/.349/.529. The two RBIs upped that season total to 34 in 43 games.
Peoria 5, TinCaps 1: LHP Fernando Sanchez allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in 3⅓ innings in his Fort Wayne debut. DH Ethan Salas went 1-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and a walk. His single was one of two TinCaps hits. The TinCaps struck out 14 times, including three from 1B Griffin Doersching . LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE Storm 5, Inland Empire 1: LF Jacob Campbell went 1-for-3 with his first homer, two RBIs, a walk and two runs scored.
