EUROCRAT Guy Verhofstadt has called on EU bosses to put their differences aside and sort out the bloc's budget as he warned a united Europe was needed in the wake of Brexit.
The Belgian politician took to Twitter to blast the division between member states ahead of a crunch summit later this month where EU leaders will be urged to hammer out the seven-year budget. Mr Verhofstadt’s public rebuke comes as European Council president Charles Michel prepares to host the February 20 talks on the multi annual financial framework . The leaders of poor countries have locked horns with the heads of richer nations over the EU’s spending plans.
