The Leigh teenager's case is being considered at the Court of Appeal
Ratcliffe was ordered to serve a minimum term of 20 years in prison following a trial last year, with Jenkinson to serve 22 years. Ratcliffe and Jenkinson, who were 15 at the time of Brianna's killing on February 11 last year, had plotted the transgender teenager's murder for weeks.
She was stabbed 28 times in a brutal attack. Ratcliffe lodged an appeal against his punishment back in March this year.During sentencing in February, judge Mrs Justice Yip said Ratcliffe and Jenkison would only be released if the Parole Board decided that they 'no longer pose a danger'. Ratcliffe's appeal hearing is taking place at the Court of Appeal, in London, today .
