Norovirus cases have already surged by 40% according to the UK Health Security Agency. Experts predict that as the colder weather forces more people indoors, flu, Covid and RSV cases will also soar, leading to increased pressure on the NHS and posing a significant risk to the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.
Each of these viruses can cause severe symptoms and in some cases, can be life-threatening. The situation could worsen this year due to an unseasonably cold snap and patterns of illness following Australia's winter season
